You are a round peg (probably)

  1. Your body is different. There is no single "correct" way to play that works for everyone.
  2. Teachers don't teach positions; they explain principles and guide experiences. Technical instructions are only signposts.
  3. Real understanding comes from experience. Eventually you will develop your own solutions instead of copying other people.
  4. The goal isn't to become someone else. It's to understand yourself well enough to become the best version of your own playing.
  5. The solution isn't to squeeze into a square hole. The key is never to forget that we are all round pegs.
